Welcome to Guides

Guides contains task-oriented walkthroughs that connect reference documentation into practical workflows.

How Guides Differ from Documentation

Each Guide acts as a tutorial or overview: setting up a project, understanding epics and tasks, tracking your first time entry, planning work in Time Flow — rather than describing every field on every screen.

How the Sections Are Organized

Guides are organized by purpose, the sections following a natural progression from concepts through to daily use:

  • Fundamentals — the vocabulary and mental models behind AbleTime: what Tasks and Epics are, how they relate, and the distinction between Work and Overhead.

  • Getting Started — your first day. Set up a project, create your first time entry, and understand the Productivity Drawer.

  • Project Management — methodology and theory that informs how AbleTime approaches project planning, the kind of foundational thinking you can apply to any project.

  • Time Flow — planning and execution. Structure a project with Epics and Tasks, manage the Flow Board, and use the Timeline.

  • Reporting & Billing — How to run reports on tracked time and create invoices from billable entries.

  • Administration — Configure settings and manage your team before everyone else arrives.

Where to Start

There are no skill levels. Every guide is worth reading regardless of experience, because the content is specific to how AbleTime works. That said, your starting point depends on what you need to accomplish right now:
