Clients

Select Settings > Clients from the sidebar to manage your organization’s clients. Clients can be associated with projects and are used for billing and reporting.

The Client List

The list displays all clients in a paginated grid. Each row shows:

  • Name — the client name. Click it to open the edit modal.

  • Email — the client’s primary email address.

  • Status — a colored chip showing Active, Suspended, or Archived.

  • Tags — outlined chips for each tag assigned to the client.

Each row has a three-dot menu with the following options:

  • Reports — opens the client report.

  • Edit — opens the edit modal.

Filtering

A filter row appears above the grid with the following fields:

  • Name — text search.

  • Email — text search.

  • Status — dropdown: Active, Suspended, or Archived (Archived only appears when Show Archived is enabled).

  • Tags — text search.

Click the X button at the end of the filter row to clear all active filters. The gear in the app bar provides a Show Archived toggle to include archived clients in the list.

Creating and Editing a Client

Click the + button below the list (labeled Add Client) to create a new client, or click a client name or Edit from the three-dot menu to edit an existing one. The edit modal contains:

  • Client Name — required.

  • Contact Name — the name of the primary contact at the client.

  • Email — required. The client’s primary email address.

  • Client State — Active, Suspended, or Archived.

  • Address — street address.

  • City

  • State / Province

  • Postal Code

  • Country

  • Phone 1 — primary phone number.

  • Phone 2 — secondary phone number.

  • Website

  • Tax Exempt — a toggle. When enabled, the client is treated as tax-exempt for billing purposes.

  • Description — a free-text description.

  • Tags — an autocomplete field for adding tags. Selected tags appear as chips.

Click SAVE to save, or close the modal to discard changes.

Deleting a Client

A Delete button appears on the edit modal for existing clients. If the client has projects associated with it, the delete button is disabled and a tooltip explains that the client cannot be deleted because it has associated projects.

If a client has projects assigned to them, they cannot be deleted, only archived. Set a client to Archived to remove it from active lists while preserving all associated data.
