Productivity Drawer

The Productivity Drawer is a panel on the right side of the screen that gives you quick access to your timer, Time Flow tasks, statistics, and notifications without leaving your current page.

Opening and Closing the Drawer

A narrow icon rail is always visible on the right edge of the screen. It shows three icons stacked vertically:

  • Stopwatch — opens the Timer panel.

  • Timeline clock — opens the Time Flow panel.

  • Bell — opens the Notifications panel. A badge appears on this icon showing the number of unread notifications.

Click any icon to open the drawer. The panel slides out to the left. Click the same icon again or click the X (close) button at the top of the icon rail to close the drawer. When open, the panel remains visible on every page in AbleTime.

Timer Panel

The Timer panel is displayed via the stopwatch . It contains four sections from top to bottom.

Time Entry Statistics

A summary of your time tracking for the current month. The widget shows a donut chart in the center with your total hours and a breakdown by category (each slice colored to match the category).

Around the chart, four stats are displayed:

  • Entries — the number of time entries this month.

  • vs Last Month — a percentage showing whether your hours are up or down compared to last month.

  • Avg/Day or Overhead — your average hours per day, or your overhead percentage if Time Flow is enabled.

  • Today or Momentum — hours logged today, or your momentum (hours per workday on Time Flow tasks) if Time Flow is enabled.

Click the eye to show or hide the statistics. Click the refresh to update the data.

Active Timer

If a timer is currently running, this section displays:

  • The task or category name.

  • The project name.

  • The elapsed time in H:MM format.

  • A stop button to end the timer.

If no timer is running, this section is hidden.

Recent Tasks

A collapsible section listing your recently used project and category combinations. Each row shows a color dot matching the category and the category and project name.

Click any row to open a new time entry form pre-filled with that project and category. If timers are enabled (see Time Entry Preferences), a stopwatch appears on each row — click it to start a timer for that combination.

Click the refresh in the section header to reload the list.

Timeflow Items

A collapsible section listing your Time Flow tasks. This list only appears if you have access to the feature (see Getting Started with Time Flow).

Three sub-tabs filter the list:

  • Assigned — tasks assigned to you.

  • Available — unassigned tasks you can pick up.

  • Backlog — tasks in the backlog stage.

Each task row shows a color dot, the task reference and title, the project name, a priority icon, and a status icon. Blocked tasks display a block icon in red. There is also an info button that will display the task dialog.

Click a task row to open a new time entry form linked to that task. If timers are enabled, a stopwatch lets you start a timer for the task.

Time Flow Panel

The Time Flow panel opens when you click the timeline clock icon. It has three sections.

Time Flow Statistics

A summary of your Time Flow workload. Four stats surround a central pressure gauge:

  • Est. Load (hrs) — total estimated hours for your planned tasks.

  • Velocity (hrs/day) — your current rate of work.

  • Assigned — the number of tasks assigned to you.

  • Overdue — the number of overdue tasks (shown in red when above zero).

The central gauge shows your Pressure as a multiplier (for example, 1.2x) with a status label: ON TRACK, BEHIND, AT RISK, or OVERLOADED.

Pressure compares work demand against your available capacity. For accurate readings, configure Capacity for both tasks and users under Settings > Capacity Types.

Click the eye icon to show or hide the statistics. Click the refresh icon to update.

Active Timer

Same as the Timer panel — shows the running timer if one is active.

Timeflow Items

Same as the Timer panel, with Assigned and Available sub-tabs.

Notifications Panel

The Notifications panel opens when you click the bell icon.

Inbox and Archived Tabs

Two tabs appear at the top:

  • Inbox — shows the count of unread notifications in parentheses.

  • Archived — previously archived notifications.

Notification Items

Each notification shows the sender's avatar, a timestamp (for example, "5 minutes ago"), and a description of the action (for example, "mentioned you in" or "assigned you to" followed by the item name).

Unread notifications have a colored left border. Click a notification to mark it as read and, if it relates to a Time Flow task, open that task's detail panel.

In the Inbox, each notification has an archive to move it to the Archived tab. When read notifications are present, an Archive read button appears to archive all read items at once. In the Archived tab, a Delete all button removes all archived notifications.

If there are no notifications, the panel displays "No notifications" (Inbox) or "No archived notifications" (Archived).

Keyboard Shortcuts

When the Timer panel is open and no dialog is active, the following keyboard shortcuts are available:

  • R — toggle quick-select mode for the Recent Tasks list.

  • T — toggle quick-select mode for the Timeflow Items list.

  • 1–9 — select the corresponding item in the active quick-select list.

  • Escape — cancel quick-select mode.
