Tags

Select Settings > Tags from the sidebar to manage your organization’s tags. Tags are labels you can attach to projects, categories, clients, time entries, and Time Flow tasks to organize and filter your data.

The Tag List

The list displays all tags in a paginated grid. Each row shows:

  • Tag — the tag name. Click it to open the edit modal.

  • Status — a colored chip showing the tag’s current state: active, disabled, or archived.

  • Users — a green checkmark if the tag is enabled for users.

  • Projects — a green checkmark if the tag is enabled for projects.

  • Clients — a green checkmark if the tag is enabled for clients.

  • Categories — a green checkmark if the tag is enabled for categories.

  • Time Entries — a green checkmark if the tag is enabled for time entries.

  • Time Flow — a green checkmark if the tag is enabled for Time Flow tasks. This column only appears if your organization has Time Flow enabled.

Each row has a three-dot menu with an Edit option.

Filtering

A filter row appears above the grid with the following fields:

  • Tag — text search by tag name.

  • Status — dropdown: active, disabled, or archived (archived only appears when Show Archived is enabled).

  • Each enable column (Users, Projects, Clients, Categories, Time Entries, Time Flow) has a dropdown filter: true or false.

Click the X button at the end of the filter row to clear all active filters. The gear in the app bar provides a Show Archived toggle to include archived tags in the list.

Creating and Editing a Tag

Click the + button below the list (labeled New Tag) to create a new tag, or click a tag name or Edit from the three-dot menu to edit an existing one. The modal contains:

  • Tag Name — required.

  • Scope checkboxes — a row of checkboxes that control where the tag can be used: Users, Projects, Clients, Categories, Time Entries, and Time Flow (Time Flow only appears if your organization has Time Flow enabled). A +/- button to the left toggles all checkboxes on or off at once.

  • Status — Active, Disabled, or Archived. A disabled tag cannot be assigned to new items but remains on items where it was previously applied.

Click Update (or Create for a new tag) to save. When creating a new tag, the form resets after saving so you can immediately create another. Click Close to dismiss the modal. A Delete button appears for existing tags and opens a confirmation dialog.

Tag Scoping

A tag only appears in the tag selector for a given area if its corresponding scope checkbox is enabled. For example, a tag with only Projects checked will appear when adding tags to a project but will not appear when tagging a time entry or a client. This lets you keep tag lists focused and relevant in each part of the application.
